Scintillating

That was me at the Bukit Jalil Stadium yesterday, when Man Utd visited KL for a match against Malaysia XI. Scintillating, or rather 'titillating' (wanted to put that as my title, but realised it wasn't just my tits that enjoyed the brilliant game) the match was. 100,000 was the number. Bukit Jalil was never this packed. Full house!! With Man Utd and Malaysia fans jumping up and down, cheering, singing, and of course 'Mexican wave'-ing. I'll tell you about the actual experience someday.

Truly an amazing match though. Man Utd 2-0 up by 40 minutes and then came a wonder strike by Amri Yahya, who then scored the equaliser, only for Michael Owen to win the game for Man Utd in the last 5 minutes.

But really, Malaysia was up to par. They started well, passed well, worked well, but lacked the finishing touch. Man Utd was its usual. Passed brilliantly, went forward well, and scored good goals, only Malaysia's ones' were better.

I went in a shy Malaysia fan, but came out a proud one. I have to salute and take my hat off for K.Rajagopal, the coach of the Malaysia team, who has really transformed the whole football team of Malaysia. He's mixed up the play now, and they look more confident playing as a team.

Really enjoyed the match, and am looking forward for Arsenal to visit Malaysia now, one of these days hopefully. Oh yea, Michael Owen scored his first ever goal for Man Utd, and it was in KL. Beat that!! Heehee.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Watched loads of movies lately. The Hangover, Obssessed, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, Adventureland, Bart Got A Room, Haunting in Connecticut, Land of the Lost, The Soloist, and of course, Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince. All of em were pretty entertaining, but I thought Harry Potter was superb, taking into account the previous shitty 5th movie.
HP this time had a good storyline, focusing more into the relationships between the main characters, and also it looked more professional on cover. Emma Watson has so totally grown really hot, and I've fallen for her now. Megan Fox is still my number one, though.
Hmmm. Loads of stuff coming up these coming few weeks. Aite peeps, off to continue watching 'Big Brother'. Don't waste water, drink beer!! (ohkaayyy, that was random. but shit happens when you stay in the house for too long, trust me).
Cheers.
Love Fifteen
Jimmy Connors once said, "In the modern game, you're a clay-court specialist, a grass-court specialist or a hard-court specialist - or you're Roger Federer." Well said, Sir.
I have to admit, I had witnessed one of the best tennis finals in my life. You wouldn't have expected Andy Roddick to be Roger's opposite, but Andy truly deserved to be there. A smashing 77 games played, breaking the world-record of an earlier 72 games.
Federrer started a little nervy, His first-serves and placing were really off, but after recovering from one set down to come up to 2-1 boosted his confidence and really got him serving those aces (50 total in a match - absolutely unbelievable).
But hats off to Mr. Andy Roddick for putting up a stunning fight. I've never liked him before. I do now. No more with that angry attitude and bad stroking. Andy Roddick has definitely changed as a person and a tennis player. His first and second serves have to be the best in the business, and he can come up with cracking shots, every once in a while.
Yeah, I know many of you thought Roddick deserved it, but have you actually seen the shots Roger played to win the match. Yes, most of them were off Roddick's mistakes, but that's how Roddick won two sets as well, off Federrers mistakes.
Well, he's got 15 Grand Slam titles now, surpassing Pete Sampras's record. And I'd bet there are many more to come. Well done, Roger. You truly deserve your success. I am really really sorry for Andy Roddick because I thought he put up an amazing fight, but someone has to win someday. And am sure Andy Roddick will start winning some titles back.
The Wimbledon is with its rightly owner now. The US Open is next. Oh wells, thats all from me now. I so need to play tennis with some one now. Anyone??
Cheers.
P.S. I'm planning to go for next year's Wimbledon final. Join me?? Hopefully Pete Sampras, Bjorn Bord, Henry Kissinger, Russell Crowe, Woody Allen, Michael Ballack, Alex Ferguson, Sachin Tendulkar, and others come back too!!
Malaysian Night at University of Reading Enthralls All
By Marina Nasution, President of RUMBSA 2008/9
The third annual Reading University Malaysian, Bruneian & Singaporean Association's (RUMBSA) Malaysian Night held on 13 February 2009 was a resounding success. It is aimed to increase awareness about Malaysian culture as well as to strengthen the bonds between RUMBSA members.
Professor Patricia Leopold, Head of Reading Law School, Rhiannon Horsley, President of the Reading University Students' Union (RUSU) and many others praised the show, saying they enjoyed the cultural exchange opportunity.
Themed Negaraku and held at Myra McCulloch Theatre, Bulmershe, the event featured delicious Malaysian food and cultural performances by RUMBSA members. Food served specially for the night were nasi goreng Cina, ayam rendang, teh tarik, bubur cha cha and many more, curing Malaysians of their homesickness.
Performances like Malay, Chinese and Indian dances as well as the play Negaraku written by fellow Taylor's students, Foo Yen Ne and Chong Jiang Mun were put up. The entertaining and enlightening play allowed the audience to understand better about Malaysia.
Taylor's-Reading student Dinesh Nandrajog stole the spotlight in the play with his unbelievable acting skills and hilarious sense of humour. When asked what he likes most at Malaysian Night, he replied, "It definitely brought us (the actors) closer, which made the play even more realistic and it was an amazing experience to share the stage with such wonderful people."
Malaysian Night 2009 was definitely a night not to forget, with scrumptious food, dazzling dances and a passionate play. RUMBSA thanks everyone for the support and hopes that the success of Malaysian Night will continue for many years in the future.
What the guests said :
"Malaysian Night was fantastic and so rich in culture. I definitely want to visit Malaysia at some point!"
Hannah Goodwin, British student, University of Reading
"I love the performances! So I'm definitely coming again next year."
Louis Caldairou, French student, University of Reading
Well, mission accomplished is all I can say; made the world a better place. Haha. I know I'm such a show-off. Cheers.
The Way You Make Me Feel
Have been browsing through YouTube these past few days looking up all Michael Jackson's videos. I thought the "Michael Jackson 30th Anniversary Concert" was the best so far. Almost all the top artists were there, teaming up with MJ, singing his songs.
I'm still thinking about him but anyways, loved this one with Britney Spears. Nahhh....
You guys should check out the one with MJ and The Jacksons performing together (same concert). Brilliant.
Cheers.
Truly a Thriller
Elvis Presley, John Lennon, Michael Jackson. Greatest loss of the music industry. The former 2 may not have been my favourite, but MJ definitely is my number one. Woke up this morning and saw the news (possible drug-overdose leading to a heart-attack), and almost teared. A man I've always thought to be the greatest dancer, singer, and entertainer of all time was no more. Elvis and Lennon might not have appealed to everyone, but Jacko did, to all races and ages with just his style.
To me, Michael Jackson is one of a kind, and no one can even step close to his achievements. An amazing human-being; young, fragile, but in-genius. I still remember how MJ was the first artist I had listen to when I was around 8 years old. Still do remember those music videos of his they used to play on the TV station. He was simply outstanding.
Throughout the years, I've grown to become a huge Michael Jackson fan. Been following all his albums and songs. It's amazing when you come to think that it was his music that first introduced "black music" to the "white population" around the world. His songs have great beats, tunes, and meanings. He was the complete entertainer ; an exceptional songwriter, a dazzling dancer and performer, a perfectionist and a passionate singer.
750 million copies sold. His "Thriller" album is 40x Platinum. Has 13 Grammy awards. Now that's truly remarkable. Not only his songs, but his dance moves were sick. I've learned how to do the "moonwalk" (not easy by the way), but for one man to combine that with the other million moves he has, is unbelievable. Sickness, his dance moves are, pure sickness.
Bought the "Beatles" catalogue for 48 million dollars. Bought "Neverland" for 23 million dollars, and he's still rich. And he's been inspiration to artists like Justin Timberlake, John Legend, Akon, Will.I.Am, Chris Brown, Madonna, Rihanna, Ludacris, Usher, Ne-Yo, and so many more. His status in the world is absolutely impeccable.
Yes yes, some of you might be thinking of his bad side now. Well, he had a skin disease, so he had to go for operations (it's called 'vitiligo'). The molestation cases were pure bullshit. Everyone was just jealous of Jacko and thought of knicking some money off him. Stupid kids, listening to dumb parents (he was acquitted after all, wasn't he you idiots).
Was so looking forward to his concerts in London. Almost bought tickets too, but I guess that's impossible now. And I always thought I'd see that 'Moonwalk' just one more time. My heart goes out to you man, and your family.
I guess I'm off to continue drowning myself in MJ's songs. "ABC", "Rockin' Robin", "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough", "Thriller", "Beat It", "Wanna Be Startin' Something", "PYT", "Man In The Mirror", "The Girl Is Mine", "Earth Song", "Billie Jean", "Bad", "Smooth Criminal", "Black and White", "The Way You Make Me Feel", "You Are Not Alone". And the list goes on and on and on.
Gone at 50 ain't fair, but you will live in our hearts. Love you, MJ. After all, you are 'King of Pop' for a reason.
Cheers.
Revenge is here.
Not bad, not bad at all. Yes, I have watched "Transformers : Revenge of the Fallen" already. One of the first few to watch it as it was released first in the UK only on the 19th of June. It's released to the rest of the world on the 26th. Hahahhahahahahah, and I'm so gonna spoil it for you guys. Kidding.
Wanted to watch it at the Odeon at Leicester Square (where Megan Fox, Shia LeBouf and the whole crew was there for the premiere), but was busy packing for the flight back home the next day so I settled for Vue cinema in Reading town. Went with the lads, and thoroughly enjoyed the film.
I thought the first one was better though, as it had more story to it. But I still thought this was evenly good. It was a little too fast for me, but graphics and cinematography was absolutely amazing. Megan Fox was as usually hot as hell. Even the new girl, Isabel Lucas, was stunning.
Still can't forget about the part where Shia and Megan run for cover in a scene. The whole running sequence was slowed down and it looked very much like the Baywatch run. And Shia LeBouf and Megan Fox looked much more fit doing the run compared to David Hasslehoff and Pamela Anderson.
There were many more robots in this film, every single one of em looking very real. Loads of explosions and fighting scenes, but that's what Transformers are all about, innit. Transformer fans would definitely enjoy the sequel. Even if you're not a big fan, it's definitely worth a watch.
Hmmmm. When will the third one come out then?? Let's see, what's next on my list. Bruno, Public Enemies, Harry Potter, The Proposal, The Hangover, G.I. Joe, The Final Destination in 3D, blah blah blah blah. Oh wells, ring me up if you're free. Am free for 3 months now, wondering the streets of KL. We'll go for banana leaf too.
Cheers.
Mac C the Pimp
This has to be one of the funniest videos I've ever seen in my life.
"Bum Crates" is so much better then "MTV Cribs". Love it.
Cheers.
